CGG Studios Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data in connection with the use of the CGG Studios website is the person running the CGG Studios project.

Important information: CGG Studios is an independent project run by a minor and does not constitute a registered business. Minors have limited legal capacity, which may be relevant to their ability to act as a data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. If there are any doubts regarding the scope of the data controller's responsibilities, it is recommended to contact the project's legal guardian or seek legal advice.

For matters concerning the processing of personal data, you can contact:

ceiiroogstudios@gmail.com

2. What Data Is Collected

The CGG Studios website may collect the following data:

email address provided when voluntarily subscribing to the newsletter;

first and last name and email address provided in the recruitment form;

other information voluntarily provided by a candidate in the recruitment form;

technical data generated automatically while browsing the website, such as IP address or browser type, if the website uses analytics tools or cookies.

Please do not provide information in forms that is not necessary for the relevant purpose.

3. Legal Basis And Purposes Of Processing

Newsletter: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR — consent of the data subject.

Recruitment: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR — consent, or Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to potentially entering into cooperation.

Possible website analytics: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR — consent, for example through cookie consent.

4. Newsletter

The email address provided when voluntarily subscribing to the newsletter is used to send information concerning CGG Studios, including information about:

new content,

teasers,

trailers,

games,

project updates,

other news related to CGG Studios.

Providing an email address is voluntary.

Users may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by emailing us:

5. Recruitment At CGG Studios

CGG Studios may recruit people interested in cooperating on the studio's projects, including programmers, 3D modelers, graphic designers, and people working in other fields related to game development.

Data submitted through the recruitment form is used to:

review the application,

contact the candidate,

assess potential cooperation,

conduct the recruitment process for the CGG Studios team.

The form may require the candidate's first name, last name, and email address.

6. Data Recipients And Transfers Outside The EEA

Recruitment forms may be operated using Google Forms, correspondence may be handled using Gmail, and newsletter subscriptions are processed using a Google Apps Script that saves the provided email address in a Google Sheet associated with the project (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited).

This means that personal data may be processed by Google using infrastructure located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

Google provides mechanisms intended to ensure GDPR compliance for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Details regarding Google's processing of personal data are available in Google's privacy policy.

Responses submitted by users are stored in accordance with the policies and configuration of Google services. Users should not provide unnecessary personal data when completing recruitment forms.

7. Data Retention Period

Email addresses subscribed to the newsletter are stored until the user unsubscribes or until continued storage is no longer necessary for this purpose.

Data submitted as part of the recruitment process is stored for the period necessary to conduct the relevant recruitment process and review the application.

After the recruitment process has ended, the data of candidates with whom CGG Studios will not continue contact is deleted, unless there is an appropriate legal basis for further retention.

8. Rights Of The Data Subject

Individuals whose personal data is processed have, where provided for by the GDPR, the following rights:

the right to access their personal data,

the right to rectify their personal data,

the right to erasure,

the right to restriction of processing,

the right to object, where applicable,

the right to data portability, where applicable,

the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, you can contact:

ceiiroogstudios@gmail.com

9. Storage Of Data On The User's Device (localStorage)

The CGG Studios website does not use cookies in the traditional sense or analytics or tracking tools such as Google Analytics.

The website does, however, use the browser's localStorage mechanism to remember:

that the user has acknowledged the information regarding data usage (welcome banner),

that the user has subscribed to the newsletter, so that the subscription form is not shown to the same person again.

This information is stored locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to the data controller or third parties through this mechanism.

Users may delete this data at any time by clearing their browser data (local storage).

Under Article 173 of the Polish Telecommunications Law and Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), storing information or accessing information already stored on a user's terminal device requires the user's consent, unless it is necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. The website's information banner is used to obtain such consent.

10. Right To Lodge A Complaint With A Supervisory Authority

If an individual believes that their personal data is being processed in violation of applicable regulations, they may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

11. Voluntary Provision Of Data

Providing an email address for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is voluntary.

Providing data in the recruitment form is voluntary; however, certain information may be necessary to enable contact with the candidate and to review their application.

12. Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy and the processing of personal data in connection with the CGG Studios website are governed by Polish law, in particular the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Polish Personal Data Protection Act.

Although the CGG Studios website is operated in English and is directed at users worldwide, the data controller operates and makes decisions concerning the processing of personal data from Poland. Accordingly, Polish and European Union law form the legal basis for this Privacy Policy.

Users outside the European Union may also be subject to the laws applicable in their own jurisdiction, to the extent that such laws apply.

13. Voluntary Donations Via Tipply

The CGG Studios website contains a link to Tipply, an external platform that allows users to voluntarily support the project financially.

Tipply is operated by an independent third-party provider, not by CGG Studios. When a user clicks the Tipply link and proceeds to make a donation, they leave the CGG Studios website and their data is processed according to Tipply's own privacy policy and terms of service, which CGG Studios has no control over.

CGG Studios does not collect, store, or have access to any payment data, card details, or personal information provided directly to Tipply during the donation process.

Users are encouraged to review Tipply's privacy policy before making a donation.

If a donor voluntarily includes a message or their email address as part of the donation (e.g. in a comment field provided by Tipply), and this information is passed on to CGG Studios (for example, shown during a stream or in a notification), it will only be used to acknowledge or thank the donor and will not be used for any other purpose.

14. Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the way the website operates, the scope of processed data, or applicable laws change.

The current version of this Privacy Policy is available on the CGG Studios website.
